Antonio Garcia-Uceda Juarez is a PhD candidate in Medical Image Analysis at Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam.
Antonio finished his studies in Mechanical Engineering in 2012 from Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain. Moreover, he completed a Master’s degree in Computational Fluid Dynamics in 2012 from Cranfield University, UK, as part of a double-degree program.
Antonio worked from 2012 to 2017 as Software Developer at NUMECA International in Brussels, Belgium. He was responsible for the development of novel numerical methods for large-scale simulations of complex aerodynamics.
Antonio joined the BIGR group as PhD student in November 2017, to work on the project “Machine Learning in medical imaging: Quantifying Airway Disease” under the supervision of Dr. Marleen de Bruijne.
His research interests are computer vision / machine learning / medical image analysis.
