Chaoping Zhang received his Bachelor degree in Electronics Science and Technology from South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China in July 2012. In July 2015, He received his MSc degree in Signal and Information Processing in the same university. During his master study, he was mainly focused on image processing and pattern recognition techniques and computer vision problems. The topic of his master thesis was belief propagation with message passing constraints in stereo matching.
In September 2015, he joined the BIGR group as a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Stefan Klein and Dr. Dirk Poot. The topic of his PhD research is advanced reconstruction methods for fast MRI. During the PhD time, he studied and applied techniques on image reconstruction, MRI acquisition, signal/image processing, and deep learning in his projects. His research interests also include computer vision, machine learning, and visualization.
