Biography

Ashkan Nejad is a researcher with a background in artificial intelligence and computer vision. His work focuses on developing computational methods for medical image analysis, with a particular interest in vascular imaging of the brain, head, and neck. At BIGR, he contributes to research on AI in medical imaging aiming to build tools that can support image-based analysis and preoperative planning. His research is shaped by close collaboration with clinicians, with a focus on developing methods that address practical clinical questions and challenges. His broader research background also includes machine learning methods for eye tracking, visual perception, and assistive vision technologies.
