Biography

Jamie’s passion for AI within healthcare began to grow during his Master’s degree, especially throughout his MA thesis, delving into the ethical and legal perspectives adopted by EU Member States in relation of AI in healthcare. Jamie discovered a unique interest in connecting high-level policy views and ethics to the practical implementation of AI in everyday clinical scenarios. This journey led Jamie to his current PhD position at Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Erasmus MC in the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. As part of the ICAI Lab and BIGR group in collaboration with GE Healthcare, Jamie focuses on examining the factors and values that establish the prerequisites for AI acceptance within radiology, as well as identifying potential influencers affecting this acceptance.
