Biography

Jifke Veenland has a MSc degree both in medicine and in computer science, and a PhD on medical image processing. Focus in her research is on tissue characterization and quantification of heterogeneity in MRI tumor images by applying Machine Learning and Deep Learning. With the goal to bridge the gap between the technology and medical domain, she co-developed the MSc Technical Medicine, a joint degree between TU Delft, LUMC and EMC. For technical medicine she is coordinating the MSc track Imaging & Interventions, for the Medicine education she is project leader of the ErasmusArts 2030 Technology group. She coordinates the modules Imaging and Image Processing for the BSc Clinical Technology and the modules Advanced Image Processing and Machine Learning for the MSc Technical Medicine.
