Biography

Research

Sterre de Jonge has started her PhD project in February 2024 at the BIGR group and the Epidemiology department. The focus of her research is on the development and implementation of artificial intelligence methods for early diagnosis of dementia in individuals with cognitive impairment, using MRI images of the brain. This project is embedded in the Scan2Go consortium, where we aim towards an automatic analysis of a brain MRI in primary care.

Background

Sterre obtained her master’s degree in Technical Medicine from the Technical University of Delft, Leiden University and Erasmus University Rotterdam. In her master thesis she focused on the development of unsupervised learning techniques for the automatic classification of needle electromyography signals within the clinical neurophysiology department of Amsterdam UMC.
