On October 28th, the second edition of the AI in Medical Research Symposium will take place. Since some of the BIGR PhD students are part of the organizing committee, we thought it was time to properly introduce the faces behind this event!
The organizers are a team of 10 PhD candidates from various departments at Erasmus MC, all working at the intersection of AI and medical research. When they started talking to each other, they realized how much exciting work was happening just around the corner — research they had no idea about, simply because they rarely stepped outside their own labs.
That realization sparked the idea for this symposium: a moment to connect with new people, foster collaborations, and get inspired by what researchers across departments, hospitals and universities are doing.
They enjoyed it so much the first time that they decided to do it all again. So, save the date - they hope to see you on October 28th!
