Go to organization site

Health-RI is a Dutch organization leading the establishment of a national health data infrastructure for research and innovation. The infrastructure, organized in a hub and regional node model, facilitates the wide use of medical imaging data from all hospitals in the Netherlands for research and innovation. Health-RI brings together several expertises (a.o. architecture, biobanking and collections, ethical issues and FAIR) of 8 regional nodes including all university medical centers.

Health-RI and BIGR

BIGR actively participates in Health-RI. Stefan Klein and Esther Bron lead the Health-RI Imaging Working Group. They have a clear vision on the needed infrastructure for reuse of imaging data. Furthermore, the Biomedical Imaging Research Infrastructure team contributes to, among other RI work related to imaging data, hosting a national XNAT server for medical image data storage.
