Biography

Dimitris is a MSc. student in Biomedical Engineering at TU Delft, specializing in Neuromusculoskeletal Biomechanics. For his internship, Dimitris is working at the Eye Image Analysis Group Rotterdam (EyeR), a joint collaboration between Erasmus MC and the Rotterdam Eye Hospital in The Netherlands. His project focuses on applying deep learning methods to Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA) images. More specifically, he is developing an unsupervised artificial intelligence model for retinal vessel segmentation. He is supervised by Dr. Luisa Sánchez Brea, Dr. Danilo Andrade De Jesus, and Adriana Falcao Neves.
