Biography

Background

Eline obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Technical Medicine from Delft University of Technology, Leiden University, and Erasmus Medical Center (EMC) in Rotterdam. For her master’s thesis, she investigated the use of thermographic imaging to evaluate the effects of spinal cord stimulation in patients with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) at the Center for Pain Medicine at EMC.

Research

In 2023, Eline continued this line of research at the Center for Pain Medicine and the BIGR group. For her PhD, she focuses on developing radiomics and deep learning methods for thermographic image analysis to improve the diagnosis of CRPS and to quantify the effects of various treatments.
