Biography

Jiaqi Tang obtained his MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Delft University of Technology in 2025. He subsequently started his PhD within the Biomedical Imaging Group Rotterdam (BIGR). His research project focuses on the application of augmented reality (AR) in surgical procedures. Specifically, his work involves the registration and tracking of surgical instruments and patients using various AR head-mounted displays, with the aim of improving precision and efficiency in the operating room.
