Biography

Wanyi is a master’s student in Bioinformatics at VU & UvA. In October 2025, she joined the BIGR group as a research intern under the supervision of Karthik Prathaban, Martijn Starmans, Farhan Akram, and Stefan Klein. For her master’s thesis, she focuses on AI-Based Phenotyping of Soft Tissue Tumors from Histopathology Images. The aim of this project is to contribute to the development of a deep learning model for broad phenotyping of soft tissue tumors.
