Artificial Intelligence for Accessible Medical Imaging
About the Project
There are various bottlenecks that currently challenge the accessibility of medical imaging devices:
- High manufacturing/operation costs (e.g., CT and MRI)
- Experts needed for operation
- Experts needed for analysis and interpretation
The aim of the AI4AI project is to alleviate these bottlenecks using Artificial Intelligence. Various research institutes are involved in this project using different affordable imaging devices in various medical fields.
At BIGR, in collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, we specifically focus on developing robust, interpretable, and efficient methods for 3D ultrasound used in first trimester pregnancies.
