Biography

Hua Ma was a PhD candidate in the BIGR group of the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the EMC and worked on image guidance for coronary interventions. His PhD project focused on intelligent image guidance technologies for percutaneous coronary interventions, a kind of minimally invasive procedure for treating coronary artery diesease. During his PhD, he has developed novel methods in medical imaging, computer vision and machine learning, to provide solutions for clinical problems in the workflow of cardiac interventions. His research interests include techniques of computer vision, machine learning and deep learning for imaging problems.
