Biography

Mahlet Birhanu is a PhD candidate at BIGR group working at the intersection of medical imaging, AI, and research infrastructure. With a background in electrical and computer engineering and experience in academia and industry, her work focuses on building reliable data and compute systems that enable robust and reproducible medical imaging research. Through her involvement in the AFRICAI-RI project, she plans to validate/stress-test her work in resource limited clinical/research environments.
