About the research topic

TAP-dementia is a 4-year Dutch consortium which aims to improve diagnoses for both Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and non-AD dementia. When we refer to a good diagnosis, we mean Timely, Accurate and Personalized (TAP). From the Biomedical Imaging Group, Myrthe van Haaften and Esther Bron are involved in one of the five TAP-dementia projects: TAP-DANCE. TAP-DANCE develops artificial intelligence applications to extract maximal information from images and combine these with other available data. More specifically, Myrthe’s PhD project focuses on the development of a deep learning model for etiological diagnosis of dementia based on multi-modal input data.
