Biography

Luisa Sánchez Brea started her work at the Artificial Vision and Pattern Recognition Group (VARPA) in the University of A Coruña in 2013, participating on different image processing and machine learning tasks involving ophthalmic imaging. She received her PhD at that same university in 2017, and soon after started her post-doc at the Erasmus MC, working on the H2020 project MERLIN. After the project successfully finished in 2021, she continued working on different projects and strenghtening collaborations with other researchers within and outside the Erasmus MC, which resulted in the creation of the Eye Imaging Analysis Group Rotterdam, which she now co-leads.
