Last week, with several BIGR group members, we visited the European Conference on Radiology (ECR) in Vienna to network, to learn about latest developments in Radiology and to present our work.
On the first day, Kaouther Mouheb pitched her poster on “The impact of feature-level cohort differences on the generalizability of foundation models in Alzheimer’s disease classification” at the EPOS stage, for which she got a Certificate of Merit award! Next, Matthew Marzetti presented his work radiomics to differente benign and malignant soft-tissue tumours on Thursday. And finally, Kaouther Mouheb presented in an early -but well-attended- morning session on Friday her work using open-weight large language models to structure Dutch Brain MRI reports.
In addition to our own presentations, we attended several interesting sessions in which our colleagues from the Radiology & Nuclear Medicine department of Erasmus MC presented, attended sessions on projects that we contribute to such as EUCAIM, and met a lot of new people. It was a great week!
